Industrial Labels, Tags & Markers

PWG Signs produces engraved valve tags, pipe markers, asset tags, cable markers and industrial labels for plant, equipment, pipework and asset identification. Manufactured in-house and supplied to drawing, sample or specification.

What we produce

Labels, tags and markers are core PWG output. Most industrial enquiries come from clients identifying valves, pipework, assets, cables or equipment, often as part of a planned maintenance programme, new installation or compliance update.

PWG engraves, prints and finishes tags and labels in-house, working to your drawings, sample or specification. We support both bespoke one-off jobs and ongoing repeat orders for production and asset numbering work.

A range of standard tags and labels are also available for direct supply. Bespoke and standard items can be combined in a single order where required.

Common label, tag and marker outputs

Most enquiries fall into one of these categories. PWG produces all of them in-house, in single units or batch quantities.

Engraved valve tags

Engraved traffolyte, stainless steel or brass valve tags for plant rooms, pipework, process lines and isolation points. Supplied with chain, cable tie or fixing options.

Pipe identification markers

Pipe markers for content identification and flow direction, supplied to your colour coding requirement or in-line with your in-house standard.

Asset tags & serialisation

Numbered asset tags for fleet, plant and equipment registers. Sequential serialisation, barcode and QR-code marking available on appropriate materials.

Cable & equipment markers

Identification labels and markers for cables, connectors, distribution boards and individual items of plant or instrumentation.

Information & warning labels

Hazard, voltage, isolation and equipment information labels. Manufactured to your specified wording, layout and material requirement.

Bespoke labels to drawing

Custom labels and markers for non-standard applications, specialist equipment or where standard products are unsuitable. Send drawing or specification.

Materials we use

Label and tag materials are selected to suit the operating environment. The right choice depends on chemical exposure, temperature, UV, abrasion and expected lifespan.

  • Traffolyte and rigid engraving laminates — the standard for engraved valve tags, control labels and durable identification. Wide colour range.
  • Stainless steel (304 and 316) — for harsh, marine, chemical or high-temperature environments where plastics are unsuitable.
  • Brass — traditional choice for premium valve tags and identification work.
  • Anodised aluminium — lightweight, durable, suited to outdoor and industrial environments.
  • Self-adhesive vinyl and polyester — for printed labels, cable markers, equipment ID and warning labels. UV-stable and chemical-resistant grades available.

If the operating environment is severe — chemical, saline, high-temperature or UV-exposed — flag this with your enquiry so PWG can recommend the appropriate material grade.
